Willow bar farm

Willow Bar Farm was established in 2015 on Sauvie Island, just 10 miles from downtown Portland, Oregon. Previously a Dairy farm, the land remained fallow for almost 45 years, leaving Willow Bar Farm the legacy of nutrient rich soils and a vibrant ecosystem ideal for producing the finest in sustainably grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers.

Starting in 2018, Willow Bar Farm production is in the capable hands of Katie Boeh - farmer and owner of Fox + Bear Urban Farm. Through this exciting collaboration, Fox + Bear will be relocating its operations to Willow Bar Farm and will be selling high quality, hand-tended produce through a 25 week CSA program, as well as to chefs and specialty markets.

Sauvie Island

Sauvie Island is the largest island along the Columbia River and at 26,000 acres, it is one of the largest river islands in the world.  Willow Bar Farm is nestled in the middle of a 12,000 acre Wildlife Area managed by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.  The Wildlife Area is one of the critical stopover points along the "Pacific Flyway" and is the winter home to over 1 million ducks, geese, and sand hill cranes along with countless other migratory birds and animals.
